A unit for hydrocarbon synthesis reaction in which hydrocarbon compounds are synthesized by the chemical reaction of synthesis gas comprising hydrogen and carbon monoxide as major components with a slurry obtained by suspending a solid catalyst in liquid hydrocarbons. The unit comprises a reaction vessel in which the slurry is held, into which the synthesis gas is introduced, and from a top part of which gases resulting from the reaction are discharged; an internal separator which has been disposed inside the reaction vessel and separates the synthesized liquid hydrocarbons from the catalyst contained in the slurry; and an external separator which has been disposed outside the reaction vessel and separates the liquid hydrocarbons from the catalyst contained in the slurry discharged from the reaction vessel.
