[Problem] To provide an absorbent article which feels less restrictive when worn, and which prevents stuffiness and rashes. [Solution] This absorbent article is provided with a sheet-form leak prevention body (10), an absorbent body (12) which can absorb bodily fluid and which is arranged in at least one layer on top of the leak prevention body, a surface sheet (14) which covers at least a part of the top surface of the absorbent body, and which has a liquid-impermeable region (Na) on at least a part, and a left-right pair of floating leg gathers (16) which is arranged on top of the absorbent body, from the front edge in the length direction of the absorbent article main body, passing over the front of the body, the crotch, and rear of the body, to the rear edge of the absorbent article main body. The floating leg gathers have a head part (18) and a hanging part (20) connected to the head part, and the front edge and the rear edge of the floating leg gathers are bonded (22, 24) to near the front edge and near the rear edge of the absorbent article main body, respectively. The hanging parts are configured to hang towards the absorbent body from the head parts, and said hanging parts of the left-right pair of floating leg gathers are bonded (26) to the surface sheet, forming a travel path (P) for bodily fluid. |
