PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building in which, when installing a staircase part which is formed in a long rectangular shape in a planar view, the degree of freedom in the installation can be improved and further, a space within the building can be effectively utilized.SOLUTION: The building is a unit type building comprising a first-floor section 14 and a second-floor section and configured by combining a plurality of building units 20. A unit set is formed by combining the upstairs and downstairs building units 20, the unit sets are disposed separately while being spaced apart from each other and between the separately disposed unit sets, an open ceiling space 17 is formed which is spread over the first-floor section 14 and the second-floor section. In the open ceiling space 17, a staircase unit 50 is provided for communicating the first-floor section 14 and the second-floor section. The staircase unit 50 is formed from a straight staircase and disposed while turning the length direction thereof in a planar view towards a direction orthogonal with a unit opposing direction in which the separately disposed unit sets oppose each other. |
