PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent information leakage with an inexpensive and simple configuration when carrying electronic information.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1a compresses acquired image data in a form in which the data cannot be restored once divided to generate compression data, divides the generated compression data into a data piece a and a data piece b, stores the data piece a in a portable storage device 5 such as a USB, and transmits and stores the data piece b in any one of a client terminal 2, a file server 3, and an image forming apparatus 4. An image forming apparatus 1b acquires the data piece a from the portable storage device 5 connected thereto, acquires the data piece b by means of facsimile communication between the image forming apparatus 1a and the image forming apparatus 1b via the image forming apparatus 1a, joins the acquired data piece a and the data piece b to restore the original compression data, decodes the compression data to the original image data, and executes formation and output of an image on the basis of the decoded image data. |
