PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element having high luminous flux.SOLUTION: A light emitting element comprises: a body 111 having a cavity 101 having a first internal side 71, a second internal side and a third and a fourth internal sides 73, 74 coupled to the first and the second internal sides; a first lead frame 121 extending from a bottom of the cavity under the first internal side of the cavity; a second lead frame 131 extending from the bottom of the cavity under the second internal side of the cavity; a gap between the first and the second lead frames, arranged on the bottom of the cavity; a light emitting chip 171 arranged on the first lead frame; a protection chip 173 arranged on the second lead frame; a recess part recessed toward an external side direction from at least one of the third and the fourth internal sides of the cavity; and a wire 175 arranged between the light emitting chip and a side wall 75 of the recess part and coupled on the second lead frame. |
