The commutator (15) has commutator slats (21) arranged in circumferential direction of an insulating body (20), where the commutator slats are attached to each other with a gap in between. A terminal hook (22) is arranged at a slat end part that is attached to a terminal of an armature winding (13). The terminal hook is arranged in the insulating body. Opposite sides of the commutator slats are attached to longitudinal axis of the insulating body, where diameter of a conical portion is less than that of the terminal hook. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a quiescent state component (2) an electric machine.
