<p>The energy storage system has an energy storage unit (12) which is provided with a cell (14,16) and a temperature sensor (18). The temperature sensor is provided for measuring the temperature of the energy storage unit, while the energy storage unit is in safety-critical rest state. An evaluation unit (20) is configured to receive and analyze the temperature data determined from the temperature sensor. A control unit (24) is provided for initiating a safety-enhancing reaction in response to a safety-critical rest state of the energy storage unit. An independent claim is included for method for monitoring of safety-critical rest state of energy-storage system.</p> |
