PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor for an electric motor suitable for a rear wheel steering device, capable of facilitating press-fitting of a back yoke into a hollow rotation shaft, being held in a stable state, suppressing a leakage magnetic flux, and forming a magnetic path passing through the hollow rotation shaft with certainty.SOLUTION: A rotor for an electric motor comprises: a hollow rotation shaft (21) rotatably supported to a housing (1); a cylindrical back yoke (22) fitted to an outer peripheral surface of the hollow rotation shaft and rotating integrally therewith; and a plurality of permanent magnets (23) arranged uniformly in the circumferential direction. The back yoke has a plurality of protrusion parts (22e) protruding from an inner peripheral surface located at a circumferential center part of each of the plurality of permanent magnets toward the center, and extending in an axial direction. The back yoke is pressed into the outer peripheral surface of the hollow rotation shaft via the protrusion parts to form a magnetic path from the back yoke to the hollow rotation shaft via each protrusion part. |
