The present invention relates to a method for making paper by using a red ginseng byproduct, wherein the method comprises the steps of: processing a red ginseng byproduct into an ultra-fine power having a size of 500-2000 mesh; adding the red ginseng byproduct, which is processed into the ultra-fine powder, to a paper coating liquid; coating the coating liquid onto paper, which has a dried state of 60-90% through a process for initial dehydration of water, by using a pressure and a heat between size press rollers; finally drying the paper coated with the coating liquid. As such, the red ginseng byproduct, which is discarded at the time of processing red ginseng products, is used, thereby lowering production costs of the paper and reducing wastes. Further, the coating liquid mixed with the red ginseng byproduct is added to the paper so that the red ginseng byproduct is absorbed into the paper, thereby enhancing the rigidity of the paper as compared with paper having the same basis weight. Further, the coating layer is uniformly formed, thereby improving the quality of paper.
