PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector in which a plurality of contacts are arranged in parallel at a plate-shaped projection formed in a housing and which can prevent the projection formed in the housing from being broken when a mating connector is fitted in an oblique direction.SOLUTION: An electric connector 1 comprises a synthetic resin housing 10 and a plurality of metal contacts 21 fixed to the housing 10. The housing 10 has a plate shaped projection 12 projected forward from a front surface 11a of a housing base part 11. The plurality of contacts 21 are arranged in parallel in a horizontal direction so that each of the contacts 21 extends in a front-back direction in the projection 12. A cross bar 23 extending in the horizontal direction is arranged at a front end of at least one of the plurality of the contacts 21, and the cross bar 23 is embedded in the projection 12 so that its front surface is exposed. |
