PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical mill capable of improving classification efficiency not only by classifying with a classification device but also by performing classification by gravity force and inertia force.SOLUTION: A vertical mill comprises: a housing 3 forming a classification chamber 21; a classification device 36 arranged on an upper portion of the classification chamber; a pulverization table 8 arranged on a lower portion of the classification chamber; a primary air blowout port 23 for blowing out primary air from around the pulverization table; a circular turning portion 41 that is formed on the upper end portion of the housing and positioned above the classification device; and a reject shoot 42 that covers a circumference of the classification device and whose upper end extends into the inside of the turning portion. The turning portion turns the upward flow of the primary air moving upward along the outer periphery of a circular cylinder 44 into a downward flow that declines along an inner periphery of the circular cylinder and flows into the classification device. |
