PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fall prevention device capable of stopping fall without sliding down to the lowest step, even when a crawler of a crawler device slips on an edge of stairs and falls.SOLUTION: A fall prevention device 20 is provided for a crawler device 16, and includes: a rod-like flipper 24, freely rotatable around one edge 24a by a flipper rotary shaft 32 in parallel to a floating rotary shaft, extending in a radius direction outward of the flipper rotary shaft 32 from one edge 24a, and having the other end 24b that can be positioned in a standby position being downside and outside from a roller 14; a brake mechanism 45 for braking the rotation of the flipper 24; and an acceleration sensor 44 for detecting a fall from the acceleration of the crawler device 16 and outputting an abnormal signal to a brake mechanism 45. The brake mechanism 45 brakes the rotation of the flipper 24 so that the other end 24b is positioned in a standby position when an abnormal signal is present. |
