The system (1) has a water-impermeable and externally bounded reservoir (2) for collecting water, where material (3) i.e. red mud, to be treated is provided in the reservoir. A collection container (4) is arranged on or near the bottom of the reservoir, and has an opening (5) through which water flows. A water removal device (7) removes the water accumulated in the collection container from the reservoir. A processing device (9) is designed to process the water removed from the reservoir for reuse in the system, and a recirculation device (R) returns the processed water to the reservoir. An independent claim is also included for a method for closed water circulation. |
