Sedimentation tank for sewage treatment plants

The tank (2) has an inlet area (14) for a fluid i.e. waste water, to be purged, where the fluid contains water, sand and organic mixture. A partial drainage area (15) is provided for the mixture of delivered fluid, and flat fixtures are provided in a tank (10) between the inlet area and the drainage area. The fixtures lie parallel to a main flow direction, and are designed as structured fluid flow guide walls (20). Partial flow of the fluid is bypassed in continuously varying directions. The tank (2) has a rectangular shape or a circular shape.
