The present invention provides a brake system for a vehicle, comprising: an EWB unit that is provided to be capable of linear movement toward a brake disk and pressurizes a brake pad when electrically driven; a hydraulic piston unit that is provided on a side surface of the EWB unit and moves the EWB unit toward the brake disk with hydraulic force to pressurize the brake disk; a hydraulic line that connects the hydraulic piston unit with a master cylinder; a solenoid valve that is provided in the middle of the hydraulic line and opens or closes the hydraulic line with an electrical signal; an electronic control unit that measures the pressure of the master cylinder, opens or closes the solenoid valve according to the measured pressure, and controls the driving of the EWB unit to compensate for wear of the brake pad. In a hydraulic wear correction-type EWB system, the pedal feel can be rendered uniform, effective wear compensation can be performed, and brake tuning feel can be facilitated.
