The present invention relates to a compound of formula (I), namely N6,N6-dimethyladenosine, for use in the treatment or prevention of primary and metastatic breast cancer. The present invention also relates to a combination of a compound of formula (I) with at least one further compound for use in the treatment or prevention of primary and metastatic breast cancer. The present invention further relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound of formula (I) or the combination.
