The present invention relates to a keel block device for a steel product carrying vessel used for laminating steel products in the vessel when carrying a large size thick plate (e.g. the steel product) used in a shipyard through a ship. More particularly, the present invention relates to the keel block device for the steel product carrying vessel enabling convenient loading and unloading of the steel products by being installed at the ceiling of a cargo deck for being elevated. The present invention comprises: a keel block placed on the steel products loaded at the keel block fixed at the bottom of the cargo deck; a clamping means clamping or unclamping the keel block; and an elevating means operated by a hydraulic cylinder connected to the clamping means with a wire and mounted at the ceiling for elevating the clamping means. |
