The present invention relates to an alternative fuel as a replacement for a fossil fuel such as petroleum and coal, and more specifically, to a sewage sludge pellet for an alternative fuel and a manufacturing method thereof, the sewage sludge pellet being made by use of various types of sludges produced from a water and sewage treatment process. An objective of the present invention is to save energy by drying moisture contained in sludge fast and simply in manufacture of the sewage sludge pellet. The sewage sludge of the present invention is dried to make the pellet having a water content of less than 10 %. Drying the sludge is performed after removing a polymer that causes agglomeration of the sludge, thereby improving a drying efficiency. Consequently, the present invention is useful for reducing the processing time for drying the sewage sluge pellet and thus innovatively preventing the waste of energy used during the drying process.
