The device (6) has a striking device (20) striking a surface of a buried structure and comprising an instrumented hammer (28) provided with a force sensor (30) and a plastic cap. A first measurement device (22) and a second measurement device (24) measure speed of displacements of the surface caused by striking of the striking device. An acquisition device (26) records speeds of displacements of the surface measured by measurement devices and raises force applied by the striking device to the surface. The measurement devices comprise sensors (40, 60). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an auscultation device and buried structure assembly (2) a method for auscultating a buried structure by using an auscultation device. |
