The dishwasher has a liquid line e.g. sewer (300) and fresh water supply pipe (210), comprising a ventilation opening (301) that is closed by a semi-permeable membrane (330). The membrane supplies gaseous fluid i.e. air, from outside the liquid line into the liquid line through the opening and is impermeable to liquid in the liquid line. The membrane is made of PTFE, and the liquid line comprises a nozzle that is arranged in front of the membrane in a flow direction. The liquid line comprises a diffuser that is arranged behind the semi-permeable membrane in the flow direction.
