PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device capable of printing many patterns so as to be readable in a limited range like a label.SOLUTION: A printing device includes: a medium to be printed having a width; an input section inputting a pattern having an arbitrary shape; a display device having a display screen; a printing section performing printing on the medium to be printed; and a control section controlling the input section, the display device and the printing section. The control section causes the display screen to display a pattern of a plurality of lines in an overlapped state of the other line on one line, the lines being adjacent to each other of the pattern of the plurality of lines, when a pattern width of the plurality of lines input from the input section is longer than the width of the medium to be printed. When overlapping the other line on the one line, the other line is disposed to be shifted. The control section selects a pattern arrangement having a small overlapped dot number between the one line and the other line when the other line is shifted and when the other line is not shifted, and causes the printing section to print the pattern arrangement. |
