FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to catheters used to remove materials from a body cavity. The atherectomy catheter comprises a knife with an opening, a pivoting shaft, a collecting chamber for tissue collection, and a knife. The pivoting shaft is connected to a body and rotates about a long axis of the shaft. The tissue collection chamber is connected to the body and placed distally in relation to the knife. The knife is connected to the pivoting shaft and has a cup-shaped surface and a cutting edge. The cup-shaped surface can re-direct the tissue cut by the cutting edge into the distal direction when moving the cup-shaped surface in the above distal direction. The tissue collection chamber has a first closed position holding the cut tissue, and a second open position removing the cut tissue therefrom. The collection chamber comprises a tip in the distal portion of the catheter, and having the first closed position holding the cut tissue, and the second open position removing the cut tissue from a distal opening in the distal end of the above chamber.EFFECT: invention provides simple, fast and effective method for removing the concretions from the catheter collection chamber.16 cl, 15 dwg |
