PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder bed sewing machine which prevents lubricating oil supplied to a feed mechanism from passing through feed-dog groove holes of a needle plate and dispersing to soil a fabric on the needle plate, and which prevents dust such as fiber waste from being mixed into the lubricating oil and adhering to a sliding contact part of the feed mechanism.SOLUTION: A cylinder part 2 includes: a cylinder body 4; and a front cover attached to the front face of the cylinder body 4 so as to be opened and closed. In a feed mechanism which is accommodated in the cylinder body 4, and to which oil is supplied, a feed bar 16 including feed dogs 12 and 13 is projected from the cylinder body 4 to the inside of a space S surrounded by the cylinder body 4 and the front cover, through an oil seal device 18. A looper shaft 28, which is rotated by a looper drive mechanism arranged in a sewing machine bed 1 and is advanced and retreated in a shaft direction, is projected into the space, and a looper 29 is attached to the projected part. Feed-dog groove holes 11 of a needle plate 8, into which the feed dogs 12 and 13 are fitted, communicate with the space S and are open, but do not communicate with the cylinder body 4, so that the cylinder body 4 has an enclosed structure. |
