The ventilation chimney has several pipes (2) made of plastic material. A cover ring portion (16) is provided for covering a parting line (36) in an adjoining area of the two adjacent pipes. The cover ring portion is arranged overlapping the pipe inner edges (14) of the abutting pipes. A spring element (20) is inserted into the parting line pointing outwards to a facing side of pipe inner surfaces. The cover ring portion is fixed in a specific position through the spring element.
