The invention relates to an individual battery cell (1) for a high-voltage battery, comprising: an outer shell having two enveloping sheets (2, 3) and at least one insulating frame (10) arranged therebetween; a chemical system (7) of the cell, arranged inside the outer shell, and a discharge opening (12) which is closed by a material layer (13, 17) in the normal state and which is opened by the at least partial destruction of the material layer (13, 17) when there is excess pressure; and a channel (14) which is arranged between the chemical system (7) of the cell and the outer shell and which communicates with the discharge opening (12). The invention is characterized in that at least one of the enveloping sheets (2, 3) has a shell-like center part (4) surrounded by a sealing flange (9), said sealing flange (9) being connected to the insulating frame (10), and in that the channel (14) is formed in at least one portion of at least one of the lateral faces (11) of the shell-like center part (4). |
