The method involves detecting succession of positive and negative power current pulses in an interval. Free oscillation periods in oscillation circuits of electro-acoustic transducers (10) are determined. Frequency of free vibrations is 3 or 5 times greater than corresponding repetition frequency of the power current pulses. An operation of the continuous oscillations is ensured with certain amplitude value of the current oscillations. Packets of continuous damped current oscillations are formed at certain duration according to a program. An independent claim is also included for a device for generating ultrasonic energy in broad capacity range.
