PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exert similar or same effects to those provided by professional apparatuses used for treating a skin, allow a user to treat the skin, and achieve miniaturization, cost reduction and safety in use of an apparatus by a user's operation.SOLUTION: An applicator 802 includes one or more illumination sources and at least one body hair removal mechanism 220. The body hair may be removed by application of mechanical means or RF (Radio Frequency radiation). The body hair removal mechanism may be an interchangeable mechanism, and includes a mechanism such as a rotation-based electric tweezing hair remover, a spring-type electric remover, a razor or an electric shaver. The illumination sources are xenon light, a plurality of LEDs and a mixture thereof. The body hair can be removed by moving the applicator having the body removal mechanism across a target portion of the skin by scanning motion, and treating the skin portion where the body hair is removed by the appropriate illumination. |
