The lock unit has housing portion (1) that is made of plastic such as polyoxymethylene (POM), and formed by performing injection molding and deep drawing. The housing portion has bearing sleeve (3) on which bearing pin (2) is mounted and rotated about an axis (5) of rotation so as to lock the door of motor vehicle. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing the lock unit installed at door of motor vehicle.
