PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SPR sensor cell and an SPR sensor which have extremely excellent detection sensitivity.SOLUTION: The SPR sensor cell comprises: an undercladding layer; a core layer at least a part of which is adjacent to the undercladding layer; and a metal layer covering the core layer. The core layer is composed of a uniform layer and a gradient layer arranged between the uniform layer and the undercladding layer. Refractive index Nof the uniform layer satisfies the relation of 1.34≤N<1.44, and refractive index Nof the undercladding layer and refractive index Nof the uniform layer satisfy the relation of N-N≥0.020. Refractive index of the gradient layer gradually increases in a thickness direction thereof from the undercladding layer side toward the uniform layer side in a range of more than Nand less than N. |
