The hollow fiber bundle (1) has multiple hollow fiber strands (10a,10b,10c) for heat transfer or mass transfer. The hollow fiber strands are aligned locally along a preferential direction, and are arranged with respect to one another in relation to the local preferential directions. A group of hollow fiber strands point in a preferential direction (V1), where another group of hollow fiber strands point in another preferential direction (V2). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a hollow fiber bundle.
