The device has a cooking or frying vessel (5) comprising a parallelepiped box (9) that includes side walls (11-14) on an upper edge to which a removable cooking tray (15) is supported. Two of the side walls have axles supported on a bearing secured to vertical columns (2a, 2b). One of the columns comprises an electric frequency control generator to generate an electric voltage transmitted by a power supply cable to an induction coil in the box such that axle of electromagnetic flow generated by the coil is directed toward a tray interior. The axles are hollow to allow passage of the cable.
