A door security device comprising a flexible member 120 such as a chain for limiting the opening of a door wherein the security device can be remotely released enabling a person outside to disable a security device on the inside. The remote controlled locking means may comprise a radio frequency operated solenoid 40 wherein solenoid bolt 60 is normally biased to project through a slot in the end of the door chain securing it in place; the chain end of the door chain may comprise a plate 100 with an aperture 110. Upon retraction of the solenoid the chain is released. |
