A dryer apparatus comprises a conduit device 3 surrounding an opening 1 through which one or both of a user's hands 2 are to be introduced, the conduit device having one or more nozzles (7, Fig 2b) serving to direct a fluid stream 4 in a direction generally away from the user's body and towards their fingertips. Preferably, one or more nozzles is an annular slit-form nozzle substantially around the conduit device. Alternatively the nozzles may be a ring of individual nozzles distributed around the conduit device. There may be a cover over the opening of the conduit device; wherein this cover may be an elastomeric sheet. A method of drying a users hand is also included. |
