摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the deterioration of recording accuracy caused by static electricity accumulated between a recording material support member and a recording material without using a recording material support member subjected to an antistatic treatment. SOLUTION: A suction device is operated to be in a suction ON state (step S21), and a cut sheet before recording is fed to a standby position (step 22). Then, the cut sheet before recording is conveyed in a sub-scanning direction to a position where the distal end of the sub-scanning direction reaches a second conveyance position in a suction OFF state (step S23, S24). Then, the cut sheet before recording is conveyed in a reverse direction to a position where the distal end of the sub-scanning direction reaches the standby position (step S25). Thereby, the static electricity accumulated between the recording paper support member and the cut sheet in the process of feeding the cut sheet before recording to the standby position is promoted to be discharged and reduced before starting recording on the cut sheet.
