<p>A clamp arm for use in a spacer damper for the separation of multiple transmission conductors has one distal extremity designed to support a conductor and another extremity provided with an end portion which is arranged to be received, in use, in a cooperating recess in a frame, the clamp arm comprising an arm member and a keeper member, the arm member and keeper member being arranged to grip the conductor, in use, when fastened together, wherein the clamp arm further comprises a clamp liner arranged to surround the conductor when the clamp arm is in a closed position, in use, around the conductor, and the clamp liner is formed from a synthetic semi-conductive elastomer suitable for gripping the conductor at a temperature exceeding 130°C.</p> |
