<p>Continuously variable transmission with a drive belt and with two adjustable pulleys (7), each provided with a pair of pulley sheaves (8; 9), whereof a first pulley sheave (9) is attached to a pulley shaft (6) of the respective pulley (7) and whereof a second pulley sheave (8) is attached to a sleeve (25) of that pulley shaft (6), which sleeve (25) is axially displaceable relative to such shaft (6). The stiffness of the second pulley sheave (8) exceeds that of the first pulley sheave (9), such that during operation the second pulley sheave (8) deflects in the axial direction to lesser extent than the first pulley sheave (7) under the influence of a clamping force exerted by the pulley sheaves (8; 9) on the belt.</p> |
