PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and reliable sanitary washing device even if the device has both an advancement/retreating drive means of a nozzle and a turning drive means. SOLUTION: The sanitary washing device includes: a cylindrical nozzle having an air-jetting port jetting compressed air to a private portion of a human body at its tip; a nozzle holder integrally connected to a rear end of the nozzle and supporting the nozzle centering around a shaft of the nozzle so as to be turnable; a support supporting the nozzle and nozzle holder so as to advance and retreat in the shaft direction; an advancement/retreating drive means fixed to the support and driving the nozzle and the nozzle holder to advance and retreat in the nozzle shaft direction; and a turning means fixed to the support and driving the nozzle centering so as to be turnable around the shaft of the nozzle. The advancement/retreating drive means includes a first motor fixed to the support and a first coupling means converting the rotary motion of the motor shaft into the advancement/retreating drive of the nozzle and nozzle holder. The rotating means includes a second motor fixed to the support and a second coupling means converting the turning motion of the motor shaft into the turning drive of the nozzle.
