A colostomy bag of plastics sheet material has a discharge-receiving opening 7 on one side and a vent opening 8 covered with a deodorising filter 9 on the other side. The discharge opening may be surrounded by adhesive for securing the bag to the body. The bag is made by heat sealing two plastic layers together around their edges and around eyelets 5 which are provided for securing the bag to a belt. |
