PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system which makes it easy for a user to grasp a sense of perspective and to provide remote control even in the presence of communication delay.SOLUTION: A remote control system of the present invention, which includes a mobile vehicle having a stereo camera for acquiring three-dimensional images of traveling regions and a remote control apparatus having a display unit for displaying a three-dimensional image acquired by the stereo camera and a manipulation unit for remotely controlling the mobile vehicle using the three-dimensional image displayed on the display unit, is equipped with delay time estimation means 80a which estimates communication delay time between the mobile vehicle and the remote control apparatus C, mobile vehicle location estimation means 80b which estimates a location of the mobile vehicle on the basis of the estimated delay time, image superimposition means 80c which superimposes a three-dimensional image of the mobile vehicle corresponding to the estimated location on a three-dimensional image of a traveling region, and superimposed image display means 80d which makes the superimposed three-dimensional image displayed on the display unit. |
