PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device configured to properly perform positioning of a sheet tip, regardless of existence of backlash when a gear is used, without requiring addition of a special member.SOLUTION: A sheet conveying device includes: a gate member 155 rotatably provided while being integrated coaxially on a holding-conveying roller 151 used as resist means, and including a locking part 155A in which a sheet tip is brought into abutment with a portion in a circumferential direction. When positioning the gate member 155 in a position where the sheet tip comes into abutment therewith, the holding-conveying roller 151 is once rotated by a predetermined amount α from a pre-set stop position in the direction corresponding to a conveying direction of the sheet, and then reversely rotated by the predetermined amount α and stopped. |
