PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system in which the amount of liquid circulating through a fuel circulation passage can be maintained stably.SOLUTION: When the amount of liquid in a circulation chamber 42 exceeds a predetermined switching liquid volume, the circulation chamber 42 is interconnected with a fuel supply pipe 54, and the liquid stored in the circulation chamber 42 is supplied through the fuel supply pipe 54 to a fuel cell 11. When the amount of liquid in a circulation chamber 42 is less than the switching liquid volume, the circulation chamber 42 and the fuel supply pipe 54 are cut off, and a reservoir chamber 43 and the fuel supply pipe 54 are interconnected. Consequently, the liquid stored in the reservoir chamber 43 is supplied through the fuel supply pipe 54 to the fuel cell 11. When the amount of liquid in the reservoir chamber 43 drops below a predetermined lower limit amount, or when a predetermined first time elapses after interconnection of the reservoir chamber 43 and fuel supply pipe 54, the circulation chamber 42 and the fuel supply pipe 54 are interconnected again. |
