PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chopping board capable of stably exhibiting extremely high antibacterial performance/antiviral performance for a long period.SOLUTION: A chopping board body 1 is made of wood. The wooden chopping board body 1 includes a front face ST to place a food material to be cut with an edge of a cutter such as a kitchen knife, a back face SB opposing to the front face ST, and four side faces SSA, SSB, SSC and SSD. A lot of platinum nanoparticles are evenly dispersed and exist on the entire front face ST of the chopping board body 1 and inside thereof to a depth TA (for instance, 5 mm) from the front face ST toward the bottom face SB of the chopping board body 1. The platinum nanoparticles existing in the wooden chopping board body 1 have extremely high antibacterial performance to staphylococcus aureus and colon bacilli, such as O-157 and O-111, and also the platinum nanoparticles can exhibit extremely high antiviral performance to norovirus. |
