PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition device which allows dots to be included in an imaging range of an imaging device with appropriate and desired resolution in a use form where a target area is set at a relatively short distance, and an object detection device having the information acquisition device mounted thereon.SOLUTION: The information acquisition device includes a projection optical system 11 which projects light of a prescribed dot pattern to a target area, and a light receiving optical system 12 which is arranged so as to be along with the projection optical system 11 at a prescribed distance therefrom and images the target area. The projection optical system 11 is arranged so as to be inclined from an arrangement direction of the projection optical system 11 and the light receiving optical system 12 toward the light receiving optical system 12. The projection optical system 11 includes a laser light source 111 which emits light at a prescribed wavelength, and a collimator lens 112 which converges the laser light emitted from the laser light source 111 more than parallel light. |
