PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine in which operation during idling is stabilized and output and acceleration are ensured during work by preventing an unburned mixture from being blown through and by controlling the number of times of combustion, and an engine work machine.SOLUTION: A 2-cycle engine 1 comprises two systems of scavenging paths having different opening/closing systems (scavenging paths 11 and 12). The scavenging path 11 is used as an opening/closing system based on rotating motion of a counter weight 9 so as to adjust scavenge timing, and the scavenging path 12 is used as an opening/closing system utilizing a solenoid valve 15 so as to electrically adjust a scavenging amount. The solenoid valve 15 is a lead valve 16 which can be closed by an electromagnet 17. During idling rotation, the lead valve 16 is fully closed, and during excessive rotation, the lead valve 16 is closed in accordance with the engine rotating speed. At other rotating speeds, the lead valve 16 is fully opened. The control can prevent a non-burned mixture from being blown through and prevent excessive rotation. |
