PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technique for suppressing displacements of a steel tower foundation.SOLUTION: A steel tower foundation structure includes a foundation for supporting a leg of a steel tower, and a flat plate-like mat foundation that is provided on the periphery of an upper part of the foundation. A clearance is formed between the foundation and the mat foundation. The mat foundation can subside independently of the foundation, and can suppress displacements in directions except a vertical direction, among the displacements of the foundation.
