PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clear evaluation method that evaluates surface quality of cutting surface of a semi-finished lens blank, and digitizes whether or not a visible scratch is formed on a surface of the ophthalmic lens by focusing attention on parameters relating to amplitude of an undulation curve of a surface and a wavelength thereof, and to provide an ophthalmic lens manufacturing method that can reduce a load in a step to be imparted by a grinding process of the semi-finished lens blank, using the evaluation method.SOLUTION: An ophthalmic lens manufacturing method is configured to include: a preparation step of preparing a semi-finished lens blank having surfaces corresponding to an optical surface of an ophthalmic lens; a cutting step of performing a cutting process to at least one of the surfaces and obtaining a cutting surface; a surface quality measurement step of measuring surface quality of the cutting surface; a first calculation step of calculating an undulation curve of the cutting surface on the basis of the measurement result of the surface quality; a second calculation step of calculating parameters relating to amplitude and a wavelength from the calculated undulation curve; and an evaluation step of evaluating quality of the semi-finished lens blank, using the parameters. |
