PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance method for a liquid jet head and a liquid jet device which can easily and surely clean a cover head to restrain a medium to be jetted from being soiled and a liquid jetting surface from being damaged.SOLUTION: In a maintenance method for a liquid jet head 10 which includes: a liquid jetting surface 12 on which a nozzle opening 11 to jet a liquid is opened; and a cover head 13 which is provided on the liquid jetting surface 12 and covers the liquid jetting surface 12 in a state that the nozzle opening 11 is exposed, a holding member 32 holds a first member 41 which is made of an elastic member and is provided so that it can be brought into slide contact with the liquid jet surface 12, and is movably provided in a surface direction of the liquid jetting surface 12, and detachably holds a second member 51 made of liquid absorption material, and the holding member 32 is moved in the surface direction of the liquid jetting surface 12 so that the second member 51 is brought into slide contact with the cover head 13, and thus, the second member 51 wipes the cover head 13. |
