PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquiring apparatus and an object detecting apparatus that can restrain optical axis deviation of light receiving optical systems while reducing the thickness of apparatuses.SOLUTION: An information acquiring apparatus comprises a projection unit 100 that projects light emitted from a laser beam source 110 to a target area in a prescribed dot pattern, a light receiving unit 200 that is provided with an image pickup lens 220 and a CMOS image sensor 240 and picks up images of the target area, a base 400, an image sensor circuit board 241 over which the CMOS image sensor 240 is installed, and a circuit board 300 arranged closer to the laser beam source 110 than the image sensor circuit board 241. The image pickup lens 220 is installed over the base 400, and the image sensor circuit board 241 and the circuit board 300 are arrayed in the arrayed direction of the projection unit 100 and the light receiving unit 200 and electrically connected to each other by an FPC 301. |
