PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin depositing/dispensing device that reduces interruption of customer service when an error such as overpayment and non-payment occurs.SOLUTION: A coin depositing/dispensing device includes a repository 2, a dispensing port 3, a reject chamber 6, a standby part 5, a counting part 16, reject means, and retry means. The repository 2 stores coins. The dispensing port 3 dispenses a coin in accordance with a dispensing instruction. The reject chamber 6 is a destination to which a coin is withdrawn. The standby part 5 is positioned between the repository 2 and the dispensing port 3 and next to the reject chamber 6, temporarily holds a coin sent from the repository 2, and dispenses the coin to the dispensing port 3 or withdraws it to the reject chamber 6. The counting part 16 counts the number of coins sent to the standby part 5. The reject means causes a coin in the standby part 5 to be withdrawn to the reject chamber 6 when a counted result at the counting part is not a prescribed number. The retry means causes, after a coin is withdrawn from the standby part 5, a coin in the repository 2 to be newly sent to the standby part 5 when the counted result is not the prescribed number. |
