The present invention relates to a method and a device for providing food data through image recognition. The device for providing food data of the present invention includes: a camera unit which takes a target image in which food and a container where the food is contained are included; and a control unit which extracts the feature points of the container from the target image, draws the shape and the volume of the container from the extracted feature points of the container, recognizes the food from the pre-stored food image data, extracts the feature points of the food from the target image, draws the volume of the food in the container based on the extracted feature points of the food by referring to the shape and the volume of the container, and calculates the calories of the food corresponding to the drawn volume of the food by referring to the pre-stored calorie data per volume. |
